We're thrilled to announce our upcoming humanitarian journey to Fiji through a partnership with Youthlinc, culminating in a two week trip June or July of 2019. We're pinning down exact dates & costs, but if you're interested, fill out this INTEREST FORM and we'll keep you informed on how and when to apply.

  • All members of the team must be affiliated with Rotary (as Rotarians or through Interact, Rotaract, Youth Exchange or RYLA). We will cap the team at 40 (with roughly ~8 Rotarians & ~32 youth).  The team will be led by Miriam Barth (Utah Rotary Youth Chair) and her husband Steve Barth.
  • We are partnering with Youthlinc, and the Rotary Club of Suva Peninsula Sunset in Fiji to improve living conditions for villagers who are primarily subsistence farmers growing bananas, pineapple, etc. We'll work hard and play hard (snorkeling, anyone?!).
  • The team will participate in the Youthlinc Service Year which is designed to engage youth in their local and global community, and give them the leadership skills and experience, as well as more confidence to make a difference. Students commit to volunteering and working with their local Rotary club 80 hours between October 2018 and May 2019.
  • Once accepted on the team, you'll attend monthly planning meetings working collaboratively within committees to prepare education, community health, vocational, business & cultural exchange projects for Fiji.  Our journey culminates when we travel to Fiji to carry out our projects, and learn from and create meaningful relationships with the villagers. You'll come home a different person. But don't take our work for it. Read participant testimonials here.
